Our Board of Directors – All Passionate Volunteers

Damon Kuhn

Damon Kuhn

President

Damon Kuhn’s commitment to the Valor Retreat board is deeply personal, rooted in his appreciation for the sacrifices of military service members. These sacrifices also extend to the spouses and children of the service member. As such, Valor will offer support to affected family members including gold star families. His late father, Arthur Francis “Butch” Kuhn, served two tours in Vietnam and returned home with unseen struggles that he carried for years. As a child, Damon witnessed his father grapple with these challenges in silence, and he believes a resource like Valor Retreat could have provided crucial support. Having grown up near the naval base where his father was stationed, Damon has long felt a connection to the military community. He is driven to apply his expertise, honed through his involvement with The Honorable Columbus Blue Goose and the Logan Rotary, to help the organization thrive. Damon is convinced that a blend of civilian and veteran perspectives is essential for a board to serve the veteran community most effectively. Through a collaborative spirit focused on actionable outcomes, he aims to make a lasting impact on the lives of local veterans.
