VALOR Retreat at High Rock
Giving back to those who have given so much by providing a tranquil respite for combat veterans and their families.
Veterans Are Loved Owed And Respected
Our Mission
The exclusive purpose of VALOR Retreat is to provide a free recreational facility for our combat veterans, their families and our Gold Star families in a tranquil environment to recover from the ravages of conflict and reconnect with nature, their families, and themselves.
A Peaceful Setting
The retreat sits on a 30+ acre property in Hocking Hills, Ohio. This property provides beautiful landscapes, streams, abundant hiking trails, fishing, solitude and is within a ten minute drive from Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave and Cedar Falls.
Our Goal
We plan to raise $2 Million for the construction of the retreat. Our goal is to construct four handicap-accessible cabins and a lodge beginning in 2021. To help us make our vision a reality, please consider donating today.
Hocking Hills
Due to the abundance of unique Black Hand sandstone, weathering and natural erosion over millennia has resulted in fantastic rock formations and scenic features all throughout the Hocking Hills area. The area is known locally for its beautiful trails, majestic waterfalls, and dramatic cliff faces. We feel that the Hocking Hills area provides a beautiful, tranquil setting for veterans to begin to heal from wounds visible and invisible.
